Juniper Networks’ Ambassador Program. It all started with the J-Community.
It began as a pilot program in mid-2012. We had a small group of long-time J-Net members that had moved up the ranking system in the community to the highest level of “Distinguished Expert” due to their active participation helping their peers with technical questions. We recognized them publicly and with small branded gifts along their journey through the ranks, but this elite group of customers and partners eventually found themselves at the top with nowhere to go. At that time our social media channels were also starting to flourish and we noticed there were standout fans and followers on Twitter and Facebook who were answering questions on our behalf and sharing Juniper content without any prompting from us. We wanted to capture and nurture that passion and encourage loyalty by providing opportunities for collaboration and further engagement, hence the Ambassador program was born.
Ambassador Awards
Expressing our appreciation to the Ambassadors for all that they do is a very significant part of the program. To show our gratitude we organized a private reception for them to meet and converse with Juniper Executives at our 2016 NXTWORK customer conference. Additionally, we held a surprise award ceremony, graciously presented by our CEO Rami Rahim and Jonathan Davidson, our EVP of Products at the time.
Not only did Rami bring wonderful enthusiasm, but he also expressed genuine gratefulness, making the Ambassadors feel incredibly valued. The awards were given to a few of the Ambassadors who, in the past year, have gone above and beyond for Juniper. One of our members was awarded for his contributions to the J-Net Community. We dubbed him “Mr. Responsive” for his dedication to his peers answering over 4,000 technical questions in our discussion forums. We also recognized him for his diligence keeping the community tidy by removing spam and bringing our attention to any funny business in the forums.
We appreciate all they do and enjoy surprising them!
